The ASEP Doctoral Program welcomes applications for admission from highly motivated candidates with a solid social science background and a strong interest in empirical research. Candidates should hold an Italian laurea magistrale or any equivalent foreign degree (Master’s Degree, Diplôme de Grande École, Magister, Mestrado, or the like). Candidates are also expected to be fluent in spoken and written English, which is the official language of the Doctoral Program.

All students admitted to the ASEP Doctoral Program receive a university scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is increased by 50% for any period of study or research abroad of at least 30 consecutive days, for a maximum of 12 months. In addition, during the first, second and third years of the program, students have a budget equal to 10% of the amount of the scholarship per year to spend for carry out their research activities. In particular, it can be used for reimbursement of expenses incurred for missions or registrations for conferences, seminars, schools, expenses for the preparation of the thesis, expenses for seminars and conferences of external lecturers, for the purchase of consumables, services, and maintenance of equipment and instruments.
