laria Bilancetti, ASEP PhD candidate, has won the Best Paper Prize at the AIS Giovani Forum held on September 18 in Bergamo. Her paper, “Transitioning Borders and Trajectories of Adulthood,” was recognized for its originality and scholarly contribution and will be published in the AIS Journal of Sociology.
The AIS Giovani Forum took place during the AIS (Associazione Italiana di Sociologia) Congress, themed “Le sfide del Mediterraneo per l’Europa” (The Mediterranean Challenges for Europe), hosted by the University of Bergamo. The event opened with a keynote lecture by former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, who reflected on the challenges and opportunities facing Europe and the Mediterranean region.
Ilaria’s recognition highlights the excellence and impact of ASEP doctoral research and the vital role of young scholars in advancing contemporary sociological debates.
