ASEP PhD Graduate Vittorio Tavagnutti Wins Bi.Lanciamoci Doctoral Prize
The ASEP PhD Program is proud to announce that Dr. Vittorio Tavagnutti has been awarded the Bi.Lanciamoci Doctoral Prize in the GEN category. The award was conferred by the Evaluation Committee, which met on July 25, 2025, to examine submissions for theses defended during the 2023/2024 academic year.
Dr. Tavagnutti received the prize for his dissertation, “The Romanì Ethnic Mobilization in Italy: An Intersectional and Generational Perspective”.
The Bi.Lanciamoci prizes are dedicated to recognizing outstanding theses in two categories: STEM, addressing the gender imbalance in scientific and technical disciplines, and GEN, rewarding research in any field that foregrounds gender as an object of study or employs gender-sensitive methodologies.
Dr. Tavagnutti’s recognition underlines not only the scientific excellence of his work but also ASEP’s commitment to supporting research that engages critically with questions of social justice, inequality, and inclusion.
